Blue Ridge Area Food Bank Looking For Help

November 15, 2007

It's the rush before Thanksgiving and the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank finds itself coming up short.

The food bank's mission is to help eliminate hunger by distributing food to needy families, but they're having problems doing that right now. Officials say they need more canned goods and other food. They hope people will help out.

"We can always use more because you know Thanksgiving and Christmas we'll definitely need some to get us through both of those holidays to people who need it to help them have a nice holiday dinner" said Ruth Jones of the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.

If you'd like to donate canned goods or turkeys contact the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank at: 434-296-3663.
