The clock is ticking. Many people want to make sure all those cards, goodies and gifts they bought are in the hot little hands of their loved ones by Dec. 25.

Here are some deadlines from the United States Postal Service to make sure they do.

December 15 actually marks the deadline to ship Parcel Post. December 20 is the deadline to ship First Class mail. December 22 is the cutoff for Priority Mail and Dec. 23 for Express.

The main office along Seminole Trail does have extended hours through Dec. 24, opening 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, Saturdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Postal officials said that a lot of times they do whatever they can to make sure packages reach in time for Christmas. That may mean even delivering on a Sunday. Officials also said that there will be some deliveries on Christmas.
