There was another scare at Charlottesville Albemarle Airport Wednesday, January 19th.
A flight had to make an emergency landing with just one engine.
A US Airways Express plane on its way to Pittsburg had to be diverted to CHO. It lost power in one engine and was forced to make an emergency landing around 7:45 pm.
The plane skid off the runway into the grass as it landed. Rescue workers credit the pilot with doing a great job landing the plane. Emergency personnel unloaded more than 20 passengers.
This is the second plane that has been diverted to Charlottesville/Albemarle Airport with one engine out in less than a week.
