Dozens showed up in the media center of Charlottesville High School on Tuesday, Feb. 1, to ask questions about the $58.6 million budget proposal for city schools during the 2005-06 year.
A hot topic on the public's minds was whether school superintendent Scottie Griffin's proposal to cut two guidance counselors and three P.E. teachers was still up for consideration. School board members said that had unanimously been taken out.
People also wanted to know about subjects including the PDK audits, AP classes, and achievement gaps.
The next school board hearing and budget review is set to take place Thursday, Feb. 3 The last public forum will be on Feb. 9.
