It's that time of year again for 'Daffodil Days' through the American Cancer Society.
Individuals, as well as businesses, make donations for the flowers on order to help fund cancer research. Over a dozen businesses are planning to plant these individual 'Gardens of Hope' with the daffodils --as a tribute to cancer survivors.
"The daffodil days to me certainly shows us all that there is hope and we all need to concentrate and be conscience of the fact that no matter who it is there's usually someone that is touched with cancer," said Evelyn Showalter, cancer survivor.
Last year, Daffodil Days generated $16,000 locally for the American Cancer Society. This year, they're shooting for $20,000.
The order deadline for the flowers is this Wednesday, February 23rd.
