Family, friends, and classmates said goodbye to a 16-year old Louisa county boy that was killed in a school bus crash last Wednesday.
Thomas Cameron died from injuries he suffered in the crash that occurred Wednesday, February 9th.
Hundreds gathered in Goochland County outside of Richmond to give their respects on Monday, February 14th.
His friends described him as a boy with a lot of energy and potential. He was a good student, and a very caring and generous individual.
Cameron was among 18 middle and high school students on the bus when it ran off the right shoulder of route 618 and struck a tree. Seven other students were injured.
Police are still investigating this crash. They will decide whether more charges should be filed against the bus driver who so far has been charged with reckless driving.
Friends have set up a fund for the family to cover expenses from today's funeral. You can drop donations off at Louisa County High School or contact them at (540) 894-5436.
