Employment Rate Goes Up

The state's jobless rate fell to 3.1 percent last month, down from 3.2 percent in October.
In the Charlottesville area, the unemployment rate fell to 2 percent, from 2.1 percent.

The reason for the decline, the Virginia Employment Commission says retailers and schools added more workers and the government bumped up staffing for the elections.

This has been the lowest level of unemployment since April.
