You may be surprised just how many people rely on the bus during snowy weather.
"On a day like today we have our normal ridership, plus we have some people that rather not go out into the bad weather and use our bus to get to and from" said Jack Ridley CTS Operations Manager.
The routes are filled with both old and new faces all over town.
"I normally just walk, but today I'm going downtown, so I'm taking the trolley, so I think I would freeze to death if I didn't," said UVA student Jamie Adlin.
The Charlottesville Transit Service (CTS) stays in communication so that drivers know where it's slick and when to slow down. Once the message comes through, they send their own snow plow to clear the rough spots if the Department of Public Works is unable to assist.
The snow may have caused delays, but on Monday, February 28th, the CTS buses were up and running and on-time.
