Charlottesville's first accident related to the storm happened in the early hours Monday morning, February 28th. A pickup truck smashed into the back of a snowplow around 1am. Police said alcohol was probably a factor in this accident.
It happened near the intersection of Ridge Road and Cherry Avenue in Charlottesville. Lt. Ronnie Roberts said, “The snow plow was stopped at a red light, the pickup never applied his brakes. Four people were transported to the medical center.”
None of those hurt in the accident had life threatening injuries.
