The fire burned out of control on a home along Route 22 East at Campbell Drive.
Units from four different departments responded to the scene. They say the homeowners waited before calling for help, allowing the flames to spread.
Stoney Point Volunteer Fire Company Chief Ted Armentrout says, “At least one out building–garage–type structure was fully involved when I arrived, plus about an acre of woods with a lot of storage and debris and so forth scattered throughout the woods. Several vehicles outside the shed were on fire. Power lines had burned through.”
Crews took between 30–45 minutes to put out the fire. No one was hurt.
