Fire officials are investigating a house fire in Earlysville that had more than forty fire fighters fighting the blaze for nearly seven hours.

The fire broke out on the deck of a house on Laurels Ridge Rd. Fire fighters from Earlysville, Albemarle, Charlottesville and Greene Counties battled the high winds to get a handle on the blaze. The fire spread through the house and into the brush surrounding the home.

The owners of the home were not home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.
