A memorial service will be held for nine-year-old Tekeyah Williams Monday at noon at the Mount Zion First African Baptist Church on Lankford Ave.
JF Bell Funeral home is in charge of the arrangements if anyone would like to send flowers.
Williams was riding her scooter New Year’s Day when a Jeep Cherokee driven by Derrick Tim Coger plowed into her.
She later died at UVA Medical Center.
Coger is charged with felony hit and run, but was released Monday on $2,500 bond. If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison. His next court appearance is set for Feb. 17.
