An accident at the intersection of Seminole Trail and Shoppers World Road shut down traffic along Seminole Trail for about a half an hour on Thursday, March 3rd.
It happened around noon when a Dodge Caravan traveling northbound on Seminole Trail struck a Volvo Station wagon as it was leaving The Fashion Square Mall and crossing the road onto the southbound lane. Both the northbound and southbound lights on Seminole Trail were red at the time.
Both drivers were transported to UVA hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the van is charged with reckless driving.
