Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board inspected all five cranes along the Potomac and found no indication that an aircraft struck any of the cranes.
According to the global positioning satellite, the accident site was at least 300 feet from the nearest crane.
The crash killed two of the three people on board. The lone survivor said that he did not recall seeing or hearing any cockpit warning indications during the flight, nor did he recall any abrupt maneuvers or sudden pilot reactions as they flew over the bridge.
A memorial service is being planned on Tuesday, Jan. 18 for Nikki Kielar.
