After serving more than 10 years in the Greene County government, Supervisor Kenneth Lawson is stepping down.

Lawson says he's stepping down because his professional life is interfering with his duties as a supervisor.

Lawson works for Fried Companies, a developer with several projects in Greene County. He says there were several agenda items the board considered that he couldn't vote on because his company was involved.

Lawson was Elected At Large, and his term was set to expire at the end of 2007.
