The University of Virginia is expanding its financial aid program for lower to middle–income students.
The university is adding $1.5 million to its “Access UVA” program so it can help qualifying transfer students from Virginia's community college system.
Access UVA also will cover the full costs of undergraduate students having annual family incomes of up to $37,700, or two times the federal poverty level.
