The 24th annual Piedmont Regional Science Fair was held at the Omni Hotel in Charlottesville on Monday, March 14th.

About 200 6th-12th graders from the region took part, displaying their projects. The categories ranged from bio chemistry to physics and everything in between.

"It's a great opportunity for the kids to get encouraged and inspired by their work and their opportunity to interact with other experts who will be coming to view their project," said Gary Henry, science fair director.

The first and second place winners in the senior division will go to the Virginia State Science Fair.
