Virginia U.S. Senate Candidate Stopping By Albemarle County

Delegate Robert Marshall, who represents parts of Prince William and Loudoun Counties, will be visiting the Albemarle County GOP breakfast. Marshall announced that he would be seeking to replace outgoing Senator John Warner.

Marshall's visit to Albemarle County will be one of his first official campaign stops. Marshall is the only announced candidate for the Republican nomination, though it is expected that Jim Gilmore will also seek the Republican nominination for the seat.

The nomination will be decided later this spring at a statewide Republican convention.
