On Friday, Louisa County Schools closed the gym at Trevilians Elementary until repairs can be made.
Due to the aftershocks from the Aug. 23 earthquake, school personnel and engineers have continued to inspect and monitor the condition of Louisa County Schools facilities.
On Friday, the engineering firm Dewberry and Davis decided the gym at Trevilians Elementary school needed to be closed until repairs are made.
The gym had been used by students from both Trevilians and Thomas Jefferson Elementary. Until it is repaired, physical education teachers will hold classes outside or in other areas of the school.
