Albemarle County and the Rivanna Solid Waste Authority are joining together to sponsor "Bulky Waste Amnesty Day."
The event is open to all county residence are who would like to throw away old furniture, mattresses, refrigerators and other large items.
During the next three Saturdays, items can be taken to the Ivy Landfill.
May 7 - Furniture and Mattresses
May 14 - Major Appliances (refrigerators, freezers, etc.)
May 21 - Tires
