Plans For Pantops Fire Substation Moving Forward

January 23, 2008

Albemarle County's Board of Supervisors gave their support Wednesday afternoon to move forward with plans for a new fire substation on Pantops.

The project calls for the hiring of as many as 12 new full-time employees.

Officials with County Fire and Rescue say response time right now to the Pantops area is about twice what it should be.
