Albemarle County Crews Battle Brush Fire

Fire Crews in Albemarle County battled a brush fire Wednesday afternoon, trying to keep it from burning any buildings.

The fire broke out around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon on James River Road near Boiling Spring. Scottsville firefighters responded and were able to keep it from burning any nearby buildings.

Witnesses say it was a significant fire but that they were able to keep it under control.
