A concerned citizens group is pushing for construction a stop light at Route 29 and Advance Mills Road.

Now, they've taken their campaign on line.

They are hoping a new website, called "Burnleylight.org" will catch the attention of VDOT.

At the site, concerned residents can leave messages and then those messages are forwarded right to VDOT.

The goal is to make sure their traffic light stays a priority on VDOT's list.

"Right not the schedule calls for construction to begin in September and for the signal to be operational by December of this year, said Lou Hatter with VDOT.

The website's creator, William Watkins said, "We want to make sure that that doesn't slip back into the year 2009, getting it installed sooner would certainly be much safer."

VDOT says the initial cost looks to run anywhere from $250 to $ 270 thousand dollars.
