If you are over the age of 50 and want a place to meet others like yourself, then time is on your side.

The Charlottesville Gamelan Ensemble performed Indonesian music and dance to kick off the first time the senior center is open on a Sunday.

"We realized we were not available to the working seniors and younger seniors so now we are open until 8:30 in the evening on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 2–6 on Sundays," said Barbara Bunch, Senior Center employee.
