Another person has entered the delegate's race in Virginia's 57th District.

On Wednesday morning, April 6, Clement "Kim" Tingley announced his candidacy to replace the retiring Delegate Mitch Van Yahres. He made the announcement outside Burley Middle School in Charlottesville.

Tingley describes himself as a small business man with lots of passion and drive to tackle progressive issues involving the 57th district. Though he is a newcomer to the political arena, his goals include more money for education, affordable healthcare, and getting funds from Richmond.

"I think that I have the capacity to get things done. What a developer, and a builder do for a living is get things done," said Tingley.

Tingley also adds that he will be doing everything possible to get his name out there. The primary elections are seventy days away, on June 14.
