Police are asking Charlottesville residents for help in finding a man they say brutally beat his ex-girlfriend last Friday morning, on April 1.
Police say a roommate let 24-year-old Antron Marcus Poindexter into the woman's apartment in Belmont. They say he repeatedly beat and kicked the woman after she declined to perform a sexual act.
The woman was taken to the hospital and has since had to have facial surgery. Poindexter is believed to be staying with family in Louisa County.
