A Scottsville couple is $10.3 million richer. William and Nancy Bentz bought one of the winning tickets from the February 12 Lotto South Jackpot. On Friday, April 8, they finally stepped forward. It was a mystery for months as to who the ticket belonged to.
The couple said they needed to get things in order first. They're still not sure what they'll do with all that money, but know they want things to stay the same.
"We're really happy just the way we are," said Lotto South winner Nancy Bentz. "We love our life and we're really happy."
Mrs. Bentz, a bookkeeper at Monticello High School, said she will join her husband in retirement within the next few months. The couple has already received their first annual payment.
