Local Teacher Honored

Harold Boyd, a veteran teacher at Jack Jouett Middle School, received the John L. Snook Child Advocate Award.

Boyd has reached out to more than 160 children through before- and after-school programs he started. He also coaches boys and girls basketball in the evenings.

Children youth and family services presented him with the honor.
