A 17-year-old girl is still at UVA Medical Center after an accident this weekend at a fraternity party.
Charlottesville Police said the girl was leaning on a balcony railing at the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity house when the railing broke, dropping the girl to the ground. She was rushed to UVA Medical Center with two cracked vertebra and bleeding of the brain. CBS 19/ABC 16 spoke with the girl's father. He said doctors are hopeful she will make a speedy recovery.
Police are still investigating this incident. They do know the girl was drinking at the time of the accident.
