Leaders Discuss Future of Route 29

Local business leaders gathered at a luncheon to discuss the possible future of Route 29 today. Development Planner Dan Burden proposed ways to ease traffic along the busy stretch.

His ideas include widening the roads sidewalks and adding bicycle lanes. He also suggested installing a lightrail system and building small villages to keep motorists from traveling far. If implemented, it could take up to 50 years for any of the changes to take place.
