Some patients at Kluge's children's hospital got a special visit from a four-legged superstar on Thursday.

Dallas starred in the 2003 movie Seabiscuit, about a racehorse. The horse now lives near Lynchburg with his caretakers who are part of a racehorse adoption agency called Rerun. The non-profit organization saves older racehorses from being slaughtered. The group figured Dallas could put his celebrity status to good use.

"The children seem to connect with him and he seems to connect with the children and they have enough to look forward to and enough rehab to go through, so we just thought maybe he could just bring a smile to their face," said Rerun Organizer, Kelly Linn.

Dallas is one of seven horses who starred in the movie. His most famous scene was when Chris Cooper and Toby Mcguire took him out and said just let him run until he stops.
