Albemarle County Man Arrested In Connection To Sex Crimes

Albemarle County Police and the U.S. Marshal Service have arrested a wanted, Albemarle County man in conection with several sex crimes.

45-year-old Timothy Shifflett was picked up Tuesday morning by county police at a home in Scottsville.

Police have been searching for Shifflett since October. He is wanted on several felony charges. Several crimestopper tips lead to Shifflett's arrest.

This isn't his first run-in with the law. He is registered in Virginia as a violent sex offender.
