Greene County Fire Demolishes Home

February 12, 2008

A fire completely demolished the inside of a home in Greene County Tuesday afternoon.

The Ruckersville Fire Department was called to 61 Preddy Creek Road for signs of smoke.

When crews arrived they found heavy smoke billowing out of the windows. It only took about 15 minutes to put out the fire, but once crews finished, the inside of the house was demolished.

"It looks like the house is totaled" said Ruckersville Fire Department Chief Enoch Hord.

Firefighters are still uncertain of the cause of the fire.
