Route 602 Reopened In Orange County

February 14, 2008

Route 602 in Orange County reopened Thursday morning after the high water receded. The road was closed between Route 692 and Route 611 due to high water from the runoff from Wednesday’s rainstorm.

Virginia Department of Transportation crews have completed their operations related to the storm that dumped rain, sleet and freezing rain on Central Virginia from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday.

The crews will return to normal duties after preparing their equipment for the next winter storm, which according to long-range weather forecasts, could come as soon as this weekend.
