Sex Offender Goes Before Judge

A sex offender caught after months on the run, went before and Albemarle County judge Thursday morning and was denied bond.

Police had been searching for 45-year-old Timothy Shifflett since October for several felony sex charges against a minor. He was found at a home in Scottsville Wednesday.

Albemarle County Police and the U.S. Marshal Service made the arrest. Shifflett is a registered sex offender in the state of Virginia.
