"Oh yes, absolutely, that was the easiest thing I've ever done in my life," said Cynthia Littlejohn, who tested the body wrap to see if it worked.

Littlejohn listened to music and relaxed while 5.5 inches dropped from her body in just one hour. She said the European body wrap she had done at Weight Loss Forever not only made her fit into her skinny pair of jeans, but it also reduced her cellulite and removed toxins from her body.

However, Joseph Aloi, a doctor at UVA Medical Center disagrees with some of Littlejohn's findings. "Not that I can tell in my reading looking through I that you're actually could reliably remove any toxins," said Dr. Joseph Aloi.

He also believes this procedure is not healthy for everyone.

"If you're young and healthy the risks of this are small and I would look at this as a cosmetic procedure that's temporary. You're not ingesting anything, you're kind of shifting things around," said Dr. Aloi.

In between the skin and the fat are fluids, so Dr. Aloi said when someone has a body wrap all it's really doing is squeezing the skin and redistributing the fluids around to make you lose inches.

Therefore, Dr. Aloi warns people with diabetes or circulation problems to steer clear of the wrap.

"If you're constricting blood flow you run the risk of causing some damage to that skin--a break in the skin, infection problems, maybe an increasing of blood pressure, so I'd be a little leary about people looking at this and thinking 'what's the harm?'," said Dr. Aloi.

However, Regina Alpaugh of Weight Loss Forever said she hasn't had any problems with the wrap. In fact, she said she's only heard positive feedback from her clients.

"Loves it, everybody loves it," said Regina Alpaugh.
