Dozens of city agencies set up booths on the Downtown mall during Friday's city fair. The event allows citizens to learn more about their local government and see where their tax dollars are going.

Several elementary school students also stopped by. The students got a chance to hang out with police and fire officials. They also got to check out the city's mobile library.

"It's a learning tool for them. The more they can learn, the more they will know about their government, and be able to participate, and perhaps hopefully persuade a few of them to become government officials themselves," said one community member.

This is the sixth year of the fair.
