An anonymous tip leads Albemarle county authorities to arrest an Earlysville man for raping a child.

20 year-old Kevin Douglas Snow has been charged with forcible rape and having indecent liberties with a child under fifteen.

Thursday, a juvenile court judge released Snow on bond.

Police say the alleged rape took place more than a year ago but recently started investigating the case after getting an anonymous call.

Snow's parents and his boss were at a bond hearing Thursday afternoon. His father says the alleged victim visited their Earlysville home on Markwood road many times since the alleged assault took place some 13 months ago. He even said the girl's mother would drop her off.

A judge ruled Snow, a carpenter and CATEC graduate could no longer have contact with the victim or her family, he would continue working, and stay away from alcohol, all as a condition of being released on bond .

Police would not say why they believe the girl did not come forward earlier.

all I'm saying is there is alot of details being left out, and until hes proven guilty no one should have too much to say and unless you know the girl and how she is then maybe no one should comment because there are more and more people claiming rape and then comming forward and admitting that it wasnt, I think everyone is too quick to hang people until they hear all the information behind the case.

Everyone should mind there business. Maybe the girl didnt tell for a reason and her family should be left alone so they can move on

I'm sure once the facts are revealed there will be a valid reason why a child waited so long to come forward. If she is under age the circumstances don't matter he should have never touched her!!!
