An Albemarle County principal went out with a bang today. After working four years at Woodbrook Elementary, Principal Karen Marcus is leaving.

The entire school gathered in the gymnasium listening to a jazz band play in her honor.

Kindergarten teacher Carole Lear will also be leaving. She's retiring after 30 years at the school.

Ms. Marcus, however, will join Crozet Elementary School next school year.
