Man Threatens to Burn Down Waffle House

An Albemarle County man is still in jail today after he threatened to burn down the Waffle House on Route 29 North on Saturday, June 11.

Police said Clifford Chapell was a disgruntled past employee who came into the restaurant twice last week, threatening to blow it up or burn it down.

He is still being held at the Albemarle Charlottesville Regional Jail without bond on felony charges.
