Albemarle County police are investigating the shooting of a female at her home just after 11:40 p.m. The woman called 911 from a neighbor's house claiming that she was shot. When EMS units responded, they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the face.
The female was transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries. The bullet apparently entered her chin and exited her neck.
Police have no motives or suspects at this time. They are questioning eyewitnesses but say that they are having problems with a language barrier.
