In the 30th District Republican Primary, Edward Scott beat out Mark Jarvis.

In the race for Governor of Virginia Republican Jerry Kilgore easily wins his party's nomination and will face Democrat Tim Kaine.

Delegate Bob McDonnell of Virginia Beach gets the GOP nod for Attorney General defeating Richmond lawyer Steve Baril.

Virginia's first Congresswoman, Leslie Byrne of Fairfax, has defeated 3 opponents to win the Democratic nomination for Lieutenant Governor.
She'll face Republican State Senator Bill Bolling of Hanover
