As predicted, Rich Collins came in second and has officially endorsed David Toscano. The event tonight was an upbeat celebration with friends and family. Collins even sang "Happy Birthday" to his daughter.
Despite the loss, Collins thinks he helped get out the issue of no growth tax.
"I believe it moved the political discourse in the direction that I think it ought to be going: focusing on growth, the costs of growth, and the issue of sustainability is an organizing principal for the democratic party," he explained.
Collins was unable to reach the winner so he personally drove out to Toscano's camp to congratulate him.
