Officials from the FBI are looking into an armed robbery that took place in Albemarle County. They say the suspect entered the First Citizens Bank along Route 29 and Dominion Drive at around 11:30 a.m. today.

Police aren't releasing much at this point, so it is not known if any money was taken. They believe the suspect took off on foot into the woods behind the Shoppers World shopping center. No injuries were reported. A canine was brought in to search for the gunman.

The suspect is described as a black male, 35-40 years old, 5 '7"- 6', 165-200 lbs. Witnesses say he was wearing a baseball cap with flames on it, black sweatpants, and gray sneakers.

If you have any information on the suspects whereabouts, call Crimestoppers at (434) 977-4000.
