Virginia Blood Services has always said giving blood can go a long way, but now it can also send you a long way thanks to the Choose Your Paradise Contest.
Catherine Boucher, the July winner of the Virginia Blood Services' choose Your Paradise Contest, accepted her prize package Monday.
She and her husband have decided to give the vacation to her brother who never had a honeymoon.
Boucher won the contest as a result of donating blood at V.B.S last month and is now encouraging others to do the same.
"If you've never given it before, it's worth a try. It's really not hard, and to save three lives with about 25 minutes of your time is quite worthwhile in my opinion."
There will be two more drawings this summer, one in August and another in September for anyone donating at Virginia Blood Services.
