It was a celebration for kids today at the Charlottesville Boys & Girls Club. About 100 young ones came out to be a part of National Kids Day and all the festivities that went with it.
Each child walked away with a bag of prizes for competing in different games and activities. The area club has celebrated National Kids Day for the past several years.
"It just kind of changes their day up a little bit. It gives them something to look forward to, like an exciting day," said Steven Gough with the Charlottesville Boys & Girls Club. "They can go in, they can really challenge their friends at different games, they get to go home and show their mom and dad that they won this or won that."
Phillip Morris International supplied the volunteers and goodies for the event.
