Firefighters in Charlottesville spent Thursday afternoon putting out a smoky blaze on Monticello Road.
They got the call just before 4:30 p.m. The Charlottesville Fire Department says the building was a two-story storage area behind a home.
The fire ran up the outside of the storage building and got into the second floor and attic. Firefighters have been venting smoke that spread through the building.
The home isn't damaged. Now the fire marshall is looking into a cause and exactly where the fire started.
