Virginia redshirt freshman linebacker J'Courtney Williams has been dropped from the Virginia Cavalier football program following felony charges from the University of Virginia Police Department.

J'Courtney Williams was charged with one count of credit card theft and one count of credit card fraud.

He has been released on an unsecured bond. Virginia football coach Al Groh had this to say in response to Williams:

"J'Courtney's time here has unfortunately been marked by issues which fall below the line of what is acceptable to us. Therefore, he will no longer be a member of our program."
