The sounds of bluegrass were echoing through the mountains of greene county today.
Members of local bluegrass and folk bands were out for the first annual "Red, White and Bluegrass" Barbecue Festival.
The festival ran from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Greene County Fairgrounds.
The event, at the greene county fairgrounds, was sponsored by the Greene County democratic committee. Proceeds from the sale of dinners will be donated to relief efforts helping those hit by Hurricane Katrina
