Local residents and businesses really felt the heat Monday. A late afternoon power outage in Pantops had residents and local businesses sweating in more ways than one.
Police directed traffic in the sun for about an hour before power was restored to most of the area.
In addition to congestion, the outage caused some local businesses to close temporarily.
"It's an inconvenience because everybody who has come by in the last hour or so hasn't been able to get their car washed," says Matt Bascom, Clean Machine Car Wash General Manager. "It's also an inconvenience to our employees because we don't have any work for them for that hour, so it's an inconvenience for everybody."
